In brief this is how we work:
When we are given a vacancy to work on we follow a number of procedures to make sure that the candidates we find for you are “right first time”.
We don’t want to waste your time or ours by sending though people who are not the right fit both technically and personally. Unlike other agencies who might just run off a list and send through large numbers of CVs, we strongly believe it is just as important to find the candidates with not only the right technical background but they must also have the right attitude and be able to mix well with the rest of the team/department.
We initially post an advert with a number of Job Boards which we have access too (On average 4-5). After this has been completed, rather than waiting for candidates to apply for the position/s we keep ourselves very busy by running searches on our own huge database of over 6 million IT candidates, and also search in a number of other areas including social media where we have access to a further 3 million + candidates.
Once we have run this initial search it selects a very large number of potential candidates with the required skills. Because of the size of our database and the access we have to a huge numbers of candidates, quite simply this list would still produce too many results for you or us to look at every single one.
So we then run a further 5/6 other searches/short listing processes within the initial search which filter the candidates down to a much more manageable size.
Once we have found people with the right experience, the shortlists we put in to action cover the following areas within the initial search:
Do they have the right skills?
Availability (Are the candidates actively looking for new employment, candidates availability changes daily. Candidates also rarely update their details or availability details within the databases they are in contact with)
Are they looking for a Permanent, Contract or Temporary Positions?
Are they eligible to work in the country, do they require work permits. Location (We try our hardest to find candidates local to your offices or people who are genuinely looking to relocate)
Salary (Is the salary they are looking for within your budget)
Additional Skills/Technology (This gives us the ability to find people with certain other skills which might be an “advantage” or a “nice to have” for you)
Once these processes have taken place this generally brings the short list down considerably in size.
Rather than send you all the potential candidates CVs we then telephone call & interview all potential candidates to check that the details we have are correct & up to date. There’s nothing worse than reading and getting excited about a potential candidate only to find out that they are not available or are looking for a far higher salary than what you have the ability to offer.
Essentially after all these processes have all been exhausted we filter down the people we have called to give you candidates that are best suited to your needs.
This probably all sounds like a long winded process in your eyes, however please trust us when we say we know what we are doing and have many years experience in doing this. So we can, in most cases perform all of the above within 24 hours and have CVs over to you within 24-48 hours, and in most cases within a few hours. If your vacancy is urgent, then please tell us, we have a team dedicates to working on immediate roles.
The candidates we will send you have the following qualities:
Experience in the position you are looking to recruit
The correct level of experience you require (1 year, 2 years experience etc)
Availability (Whether this is immediate or if there is a notice period to adhere to)
That the candidate is looking for the right type of position you have, whether it be Permanent, Contract or Temporary
Candidates who are local to your offices or genuinely looking to relocate at their own expense
Their expected salary is within your budget
Any additional skills you are looking for are clearly noted
Availability for interviews is acceptable within a reasonable amount of time
Happy to have a telephone interviews initially if required
Are eligible to work in the required location or have the correct Visa to enable them to start work without the need to process a work permit
Plus anything else which you think could be relevant (i.e. Driving License, happy to work shifts &/or travel and stay away from home over night if required etc)
As said, once all of this has been taken care of the list is substantially reduced and as a rule (unless requested otherwise) we only send you a maximum of 3-5 candidates who fit ALL of these criteria’s
